The Flat Caps

"The Flat Caps" was influenced by "Peaky Blinders", Wes Anderson's "Fantastic Mr. Fox", and Disney's "101 Dalmatians". I wanted to combine these influences into my own original fictional work. Thus "The Flat Caps" was born.

The black and white illustrations were concept art for the color illustrations which explore the locations and characters in the world.

Along with the illustrations I forged a steel gate, built a copper lamp, and casted the characters in bronze for my senior exhibition at Northern Michigan University. "The Flat Caps" project was awarded first prize.
